    2. What’s so special about the history and character of your hotel?

We’re more than just a place to sleep — we’re a living piece of Tallinn’s story. Our building dates back to the 19th century and was originally built for wealthy local residents. Fully renovated with all modern comforts, we reopened our doors in 2002 and chose to preserve the building’s unique medieval charm. As a result, you can enjoy exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, and antique furniture, all while breathing the air of the Old Town.

    3. How many rooms does the hotel have, and what types are available?

We keep things personal and cozy. The hotel features only 20 rooms, accommodating up to 37 guests. Our range includes Single Rooms, Double/Twin Rooms, Superior and Deluxe Rooms. This small scale allows us to offer you a truly comfortable and authentic Tallinn experience away from the bustle of impersonal chain hotels.

We kindly ask you to inform us of your expected arrival time in advance, especially if you’ll be arriving outside those hours, so we can make sure someone is there to greet you personally. This personal touch is part of our commitment to attentive service.

Absolutely! We welcome families with open arms. We have family rooms specifically designed to comfortably accommodate 4 guests, and our Deluxe Family Twin Room even features a king bed and a cozy sofa bed. 11. Does Taanilinna Hotel have air conditioning in the rooms?

This is a great question, especially for summer travelers. Because our building is a historic 19th-century structure with thick stone walls and a protected heritage status, we do not have air conditioning in the rooms. However, the stone walls naturally keep the rooms cool even on warm days, and we provide fans in every room upon request. We also recommend keeping the curtains drawn during the hottest part of the day — it makes a noticeable difference!

    12. How can I get to the hotel from Tallinn Airport (TLL)?

You have several great options when arriving. We offer a convenient airport shuttle service for our guests — you can request pick-up or drop-off directly with us. Alternatively, the bus is an excellent choice for independent travelers: take the bus from the airport, which takes roughly 17 minutes and costs as little as €2, making it the most economical route into the Old Town. Of course, taxis are also readily available if you prefer a direct, door-to-door trip.
